Kakujoro
“Nagomi-no-yado Kakujoro,” founded in 1926 and located in the heart of Japan, is the only ryokan on the Atsumi Peninsula that retains the atmosphere of a hanamachi (geisha district). Our “Honkan,” which has a lovely wood smell, has five rooms, and our “Shinkan,” which was completed in 2005, has five modern Japanese-style rooms and open-air baths. The “Honkan” was designated as a registered tangible cultural property along with the “Roman-no-Yado Izutsuro,” which reopened after renovation in July 2022. Take a breather and relax in the Irago hot spring, which is said to give you beautiful skin, and enjoy the finest seasonal dishes that showcase plenty of wild fish and torafugu (blowfish) caught at the port of Irago.
