Akadama

Nagasaki, Kyushu

Akadama took its name from the Akadama Bistro, a restaurant located in Oshima that was run by the parents of the facility’s current chef beginning in 1968. The kitchen is well known for its excellent seafood, freshly caught every day in the local area. Next to the restaurant are three separate lodging zones, surrounded by greenery. Without ornate decoration or even window curtains, the lodgings are designed to dissolve the boundary between living space and nature, as guests enjoy the shadows of the surrounding trees dancing along the floors and walls of their guest rooms.
